With a career spanning five decades and more, John Metcalf MBE is regarded as the leading living composer in Wales today and he will be celebrating his 75th birthday in 2021. Forming part of these celebrations, this online symposium will present a series of talks that discusses the majority of his oeuvres during his distinguished career, which includes his operas, orchestral, chamber, vocal and choral works. The event is further enhanced by the performance of selected works.
