First broadcast performance of Cello Symphony

Watch out for details of the first broadcast performance on BBC Radio 3 of John Metcalf’s monumental Cello Symphony. The performance by Alice Neary (cello) with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales under conductor Edwin Outwater received a standing ovation at the BBC Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff in May 2016 and was recorded for subsequent broadcast.
